Behind the Computer Screen.

I was approached about an article for the Pensacola News Journal by a reporter last week. I gave her a couple of names for people to interview, but she knew that I was also in a Mardi Gras krewe since I work closely with the news media. I knew that the story would come out in Sundays paper and was anxiously awaiting to see the final piece.

Perfect Salmon Recipe for a Valentine’s Date

valentinedinner
I love Valentine’s Day and normally always celebrate with my friends. It’s the concept that I love my friends and it is fun to keep them close to me on this holiday. I also love the smell of fresh flowers and the fun colors of pink and red everywhere I go. Adam is normally not home for Valentine’s Day and for the past couple of years, my best girlfriend and I go to a restaurant together, buy each other presents and enjoy a movie like Step Up 1, 2, and 3! Thank you to my friends boyfriend for letting her spend the day with me.

Finally Married.

Vaughan_111
We finally tied the knot! A little late with my blog, but we became The Fikes on March 27, 2010. Our closest friends and mainly family were able to join us on this very special day. Now after things settled down a little, Adam is in the midst of renovating our house! I spent days and hours getting ready for the wedding ceremony, now he’s spending days and hours getting our house ready for its final reveal. With Adam, there is always a project happening around him and sometimes more than one at a time. He built us a deck on the front of the house, a trellis growing with jasmine and wisteria, a grapevine, a brand new shed, and now the whole inside of our house is under construction.Save Save

Spent two days in Roma (Rome). Absolutely stunned visiting the Colosseum and seeing the architecture and massive structure. Did you know it was designed to hold 50,000 to 80,000 spectators and could be emptied within 10 minutes? They figured this out in 70-80 AD. ...
